Welcome to Eagles Landing, a 60-acre site on the western shore of Thumb Lake (locally known as Lake Louise) that includes rental cabins with direct lake access for swimming and boating. Eagles Landing features an in-the-woods setting with single and multiple room rustic cabins, each complete with electric service, toilet and shower, kitchen facilities (small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, sink), beds, picnic tables and fire ring.
Eagles Landing is part of Lake Louise Christian Community, which owns the land around Thumb Lake and which for nearly 90 years has run a summer kids camp down the road from Eagles Landing. Thumb Lake is an all-sports boating and fishing lake located 6 miles east of Boyne Falls that covers about 500 acres, is 150 feet at its deepest depth, has a public boat launch, and is known for its pristine forest setting, sandy bottom and blue waters.
Eagles Landing has three single room cabins and two multiple-room cabins, with additional cabins becoming available as renovations are completed. There is a beach area for swimming and a dock for fishing and boating. A DNR boat launch is just a quarter mile down the road. The site sits adjacent to state forest and hiking trails abound.
